1. Data we collect

A. Information you provide

Account information: email address, username, name, and date of birth.
Profile information: profile photo and optional profile text (e.g., bio).
User content: content you create or upload such as posts, images, and interactions within the App.

B. Information collected automatically

Device & app data: device model, OS version, app version, language, time zone.
Log data: IP address, approximate network information, crash logs, and diagnostic data.
Usage data: interactions with features and screens (e.g., viewed pages, taps), in aggregated or pseudonymous form where possible.

2. How we use your data

We use the information we collect to:

Provide and operate the App (account creation, login, core features).
Enable community features (publishing content, interacting with other users).
Communicate with you about service-related notices (e.g., security or policy updates).
Maintain safety and integrity (prevent abuse, investigate suspicious activity, enforce rules).
Monitor performance and improve reliability (debugging, crash analysis, analytics).

3. Sharing & third-party services

We do not sell your personal information. We may share information in the following cases:

Service providers: vendors that process data on our behalf (e.g., hosting, storage, analytics, push notifications).
Legal obligations: when required to comply with applicable laws, lawful requests, or protect rights and safety.
Business transfers: if we are involved in a merger, acquisition, or asset sale (with appropriate safeguards).

Firebase services

Firebase Cloud Messaging (FCM): used to deliver push notifications.
Google Analytics for Firebase: used to understand usage trends and improve the App.

4. Data retention

We retain your information for as long as necessary to provide the App and for legitimate business purposes such as maintaining security, complying with legal obligations, and resolving disputes.

Account & content: retained while your account is active. If you delete your account, we delete or anonymize information unless retention is required by law or for security purposes.
Logs & diagnostics: retained for a limited period (e.g., up to 24 months) and may then be aggregated or anonymized.

5. Your rights (GDPR and similar laws)

Depending on your location, you may have the right to:

Request access to your personal data.
Request correction or deletion of your personal data.
Object to or restrict certain processing.
Withdraw consent where processing is based on consent.
Request a copy of your data (data portability), where applicable.

6. Security

We take reasonable administrative, technical, and physical measures to protect information. However, no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure.

Access controls and least-privilege practices for internal systems.
Monitoring and logging for abuse and intrusion detection.
Encryption in transit where supported by platform and infrastructure.

7. Children’s privacy

The App is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information, contact us and we will take appropriate action.

8. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the effective date above and, where appropriate, provide additional notice within the App.
